Our Story
Military Service
William served seven years on active duty as a Damage Controlman in the US Coast Guard, taking our family from Virginia to St. Petersburg, Florida. His work gave him extensive hands-on experience in construction, maintenance, repairs, safety, and problem-solving skills that prepared him well for this industry. When another move and deployment approached, we chose to return home to the Gulf Coast, where William transitioned into the Reserves. The discipline, work ethic, and experience he gained during his service continue to guide NEL Co. today.
Building a Family
We started dating in high school and married young, building our life together through every military move. We welcomed our first child while stationed in St. Petersburg and recently grew our family again with our second before returning to the Gulf Coast Area. Our children are at the heart of everything we are building.
Starting NEL Co.
NEL Co. came into our lives unexpectedly around the time William transitioned into the Reserves. We saw an opportunity to build a family business around his natural gift for carpentry and working with his hands allowing us to provide for our family, be present for our children, and serve our community.
Today
Today, NEL Co. continues to grow one fence, gate, repair, and project at a time. We are expanding what we offer while staying true to what started it all: family, faith, craftsmanship, and dependable service.
